Salary Range: New hires will be set at $21.50 per hour. The salary range for internal candidates is $21.50 to $26.12 per hour.

About this job:

Instructional Paraprofessionals provide staff support in an educational or childcare environment. Instructional Paraprofessionals will work with children individually or in small groups by providing basic instruction on reading, writing, math, and other education related activities as assigned by teachers' directions.

What You'll Do:

  • May provide instruction support to teachers in designated curricula (e.g., reading, writing, science, social studies, mathematics, library media) and may support teachers in the instruction and teaching of personal computer hardware and software skills or, as designated, oversee the general function, operation and maintenance of a computer laboratory.
  • Assists individuals and small student groups and reinforces learning concepts presented by teachers; discusses and coordinates instructional efforts with teachers and educational staff.
  • Assists in conducting testing and assessment, multimedia activities, recordkeeping, computer operation, discipline, and other activities, as directed.
  • Presents subject matter to students under the direction and guidance of teachers, using lectures, computer-based instruction, discussions, or supervised role-playing methods.

  • Bilingual Spanish required.
