Job Description

Program Coordinator to provide technical and clinical support for research studies investigating pulmonary nodule blood tests and to provide support for the Thoracic Oncology Research Group in Lancaster, South Carolina.

Job Duties:

  • (35%) - Subject recruitment, data entry, routine data management tracking, and general administrative support for the research team. Conducts and/or documents consent for participants in minimal risk studies. May conduct consent for studies greater than minimal risk under direct supervision
  • (30%) - Review patient medical records to identify subjects who qualify for actively enrolling studies. Program Coordinator will interview qualifying patients, fully explain details of the research studies, and enroll interested patients under minimal supervision
  • (20%) - Coordinate the distribution of research materials and will keep accurate records. The applicant will directly interact with site personnel and principal investigators, thereby requiring effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • (15%) - This individual will conduct assessments of study patients per study protocol

MUSC Minimum Training and Experience Requirements:

A bachelor's degree and one year relevant program experience.
