Description Salary: Per ABOSA Contract - Full Year Position
Responsibilities:
  • Varied duties require a thorough knowledge of school operations, sound judgment, the demonstration of initiative in completing tasks, and the ability to work with numerous interruptions.
  • Admin. Asst. is called upon to handle many details, including maintaining school-related confidential information, the operation of office technologies, typing correspondences, computer data entry, record keeping, filing, and working directly with faculty, students, parents, and the general public and other school personnel.
  • Maintain confidential student records: input/maintain student placement lists, and retain cumulative student records. Update daily attendance reports and maintain student emergency cards.
  • Maintain staff records: update staff database, process time cards, and leave request forms. Provide daily substitute information (payroll and placement)
  • Originate and process all purchasing requests using system-wide designated software. Maintain files as needed with the support of an office assistant.
Qualifications:
  • High School degree, Associate or Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn all school based technology applications (PowerSchool, Munis, Microsoft Word/Excel, and FileMaker Pro).
  • Ability to organize and maintain accurate electronic and hard copy filing systems.
  • Ability to deal effectively & tactfully with the public and to maintain confidential information. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, and flexibility.
  • Must be able to work autonomously, prioritizing and reprioritizing tasks and work effectively despite interruptions
  • Ability to uphold the highest level of confidentiality
