Location: Facilities
Hours: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Position: Year-round (12 Mo); 8 Hours, Mon-Fri
Starting Pay: $23.97/hr to $31.01/hr, depending on experience
Status: Non-Exempt 10

Essential Job Functions:
Provide preventative maintenance as well as repairs and installation for heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment throughout the District. Repair and/or install other related equipment such as heat pumps, unit ventilators, control systems, humidifiers, cooling towers, boilers, VAV boxes, exhaust fans, air compressors and other related HVAC equipment. Repair ice machines, refrigerators and drinking fountains.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in HVAC field
  • Hold certification for handling CFC and HCFC refrigerants
  • Must possess or be able to obtain minimum Missouri Class E driver’s license or equivalent with an excellent driving record
  • Completed advanced technical training program
  • Proficient in use of mechanical and hand tools and HVAC equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, wiring diagrams and blueprints
  • Proficient in soldering, glazing, and welding
  • Able to work at heights greater than 20 feet and on rooftops; able to lift 70 pounds on a routine basis
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to relate to a diverse workforce
  • Mobility to move in and around buildings and crawl under and/or inside HVAC units
  • Able to pass a thorough background investigation
