NOW ACCEPTING STUDENT TEACHER APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
SUMMARY
On-call to provide instruction to students in accordance with established lesson plans and administrator directions. May prepare lesson plans and, evaluate and monitor students’ performance.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
Valid Substitute Certificate (at time of hire)
Teaching Experience
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Valid Arizona Teaching certificate
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Substitute Teachers are required to complete paperwork through the Substitute Assignment Office and to use the District’s automated Sub Finder computer system.
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Daily Rates
Certified Rate: start at $145, with a temporary increase to $160 after 20 assignments
Classified (Ex ED TA coverage) Rate: $125
Long-term $175
