  • JOB SUMMARY
    • The chief objective of this position:

      • The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for driving the execution of recruiting and search strategies, while ensuring superior candidate experience throughout the recruitment process at all levels of the organization. At the same time, is responsible for developing and implementing a centralized recruitment and selection process that is efficient and effective in acquiring talent for varied positions in an academic medical center setting.
      • Develops a team approach that is focused on collaborating with the HR Business Advisory teams to meet the overall recruitment needs of the organization. The Director of Talent Acquisition is also responsible for managing the recruitment budget to include use of third party vendor for advertising; participating in job fairs; use of social media; and supporting organizational recruitment events. Utilizes metrics to evaluate efficiencies, assess quality of work and address challenges in meeting the needs of the organization.
      • Finally, the Director ensures equitable employment practices and maintains compliance with VCUHS policies and practices and state/ federal regulations related to employment practices.
    • Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:

      • Professional Human Resources (PHR) Certification or SHRM-Certified Professional preferred.
    • Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:

      • Professional Human Resources (PHR) Certification or SHRM-Certified Professional preferred.
    • Experience REQUIRED:

      • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively more responsible Human Resources supervisory/management positions.
      • Two (2) years of leadership experience.
      • Minimum of two (2) years of experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
      • Three (3) years of experience in the Healthcare industry in recruiting.
      • Experience in the sourcing of passive candidates.
      • Ability to plan projects, develop milestones, handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet specific deadlines.
      • Detail oriented, well organized with strong time and project management skills.
      • Able to work productively in fast-paced recruiting environment with little direct supervision.
      • Demonstrated industry and market knowledge of strategic employment practices and legal consequences.
      • Experience and ability to work efficiently and rapidly, adjusting to changing business needs under the pressure of strict deadlines.
      • Experience managing contracts and multiple recruiting sources such as retained/contingent search firms, job boards, advertising, etc.
      • Strong business acumen and understanding of key industry and business trends.
      • Experience developing and utilizing metrics to inform business decisions.
    • Experience PREFERRED

      • Seven (7) years of progressively more responsible Human Resources supervisory / management positions.
      • Experience in an Academic Medical Center.
      • Federal Contractor employer experience (OFCCP).
      • Workday system working experience.
    • Education/training REQUIRED:

      • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or a related field.
    • Education/training PREFERRED:

      • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field from accredited program.
