$49,024 - $57,113 annual salary
(dependent upon experience and qualifications)

Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in public relations, communications or journalism, Minimum 5 years experience preferred.
  • Ability to be discreet with confidential matters. Knowledge of district policies and procedures. Public school experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of computer skills including word processing, database and spreadsheet. Strong knowledge of office machines.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Website experience strongly preferred.
  • Able to coordinate and gather relevant District information timely.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with administrators, district staff, students, teachers and general public, dealing well with all individuals courteously and tactfully.
  • Accounting skills, fluent command of oral and written English language, spelling and arithmetic skills; ability to compose correspondence.
  • Ability to keep accurate records, files and reports. Strong office experience to assist with management of the Public Information Department.
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently, performing individual projects and routine matters with minimal direction from supervisor.
  • Must have the ability to think clearly in stressful situations; work well under pressure, meet deadlines and work on several projects at the same time.
