$49,024 - $57,113 annual salary
(dependent upon experience and qualifications)
Bachelor degree in public relations, communications or journalism, Minimum 5 years experience preferred.
Ability to be discreet with confidential matters. Knowledge of district policies and procedures. Public school experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of computer skills including word processing, database and spreadsheet. Strong knowledge of office machines.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop
Excellent customer service skills.
Website experience strongly preferred.
Able to coordinate and gather relevant District information timely.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with administrators, district staff, students, teachers and general public, dealing well with all individuals courteously and tactfully.
Accounting skills, fluent command of oral and written English language, spelling and arithmetic skills; ability to compose correspondence.
Ability to keep accurate records, files and reports. Strong office experience to assist with management of the Public Information Department.
Ability to use initiative and work independently, performing individual projects and routine matters with minimal direction from supervisor.
Must have the ability to think clearly in stressful situations; work well under pressure, meet deadlines and work on several projects at the same time.
