The Cumberland Valley School District, a leader in public education in Pennsylvania, seeks a highly qualified candidate for the position of Innovative Teaching and Learning Supervisor/CVVA Principal. The successful candidate will assist the Assistant Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment by providing leadership and assistance in the areas support and supervision for elective departments as well as serving as the principal of Cumberland Valley's Virtual Academy (CVVA).

While candidates can present themselves with a variety of backgrounds, all must possess a Master's degree, hold an active Pennsylvania Principal K-12 certification, and have a minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience. Cumberland Valley is looking for a proven instructional leader who can demonstrate success in the following areas:

  • Demonstrated instructional leadership in the areas of curriculum development, instructional delivery, and data-driven decision making;
  • Strong background in PA academic standards and assessment anchors;
  • Experience working with adults to support professional growth and improve student outcomes;
  • A strategic approach to long-range planning and the ability to juggle many tasks and projects at once;
  • Knowledge of online learning platforms and instructional resources, such as CAOLA;
  • Effective communication skills in the areas of speaking, writing, and listening;

  1. Criminal Record Check (less than one year old)
  2. PA Child Abuse History Clearance (less than one year old)
  3. FBI Finger Print Clearance (less than one year old)
  4. TB Test/Mantoux (less than 3 months old)
  5. Physical - if applicable (less than 1 year old)
