Several Summer Help Maintenance positions are available for the HVAC and Grounds departments. The hours for these positions would consist of working up to 8 hours per day, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m..Job duties would consist of, but are not limited to:HVAC Department - assisting with preventative maintenance which involves filter changing, coil and grille cleaning, bearing lubrication, application of anti-rust inhibitor and other tasks as necessary on HVAC equipment.Grounds Department - pruning shrubs, planting/replacing of shrubs, weeding and basic clean up of outside flower beds and other areas and other tasks as needed to maintain the outdoor appearance at all schools.The essential functions of these positions require the employee to be adaptable and flexible enough to adjust to changing conditions; willingness to cooperate and work as part of a team; ability to be a self-starter and self-motivating; able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and comprehend same; able to use ordinary arithmetic including decimals and fractions; practices good safety awareness and procedures; helps to maintain the minimal records needed to fulfill school and regulatory requirements; recognizes and respects co-workers' staffs' and students' rights; ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
