Tech Training Designer/Developer - Office of Data Governance

License and Certification Qualifications:

• None Required

Education Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field Required

Experience Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in developing and/or delivering computer assisted or online instruction Required
• Experience in training/teaching Preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

Design and develop online and instructor-led training for local school and central office staff that supports the mission, vision, and goals of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS).

• Oversee the planning of technology training for staff to support technology improvement initiatives consistent with the goals and objectives of GCPS.
  • Act independently to determine when training deficiencies require new training programs.
• Design and develop training materials for online and instructor-led training sessions that meet customer requirements and are appropriate for adult learners.
  • Modify online training sessions and existing training materials to meet the needs of customers.
  • Analyze materials from a variety of sources and revise materials for appropriate inclusion in training and online sessions.
• Facilitate and deliver training in synchronous or asynchronous online formats.
  • Deliver instructor-led training for local school and central office staff.
  • Complete setup for online training as needed.
• Provide support in the collection and evaluation of data to determine the success and effectiveness of technology training opportunities.
  • Utilize data to identify strengths and areas for improvement in technology training.
  • Analyze and report effectiveness of online training sessions.
  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement of online training sessions.
• Maintain a high degree of technical competence in the area of technology training applications .
  • Maintain working knowledge of applications surrounding the student information system.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies by reviewing appropriate periodicals and journals.
