Description PHYSICAL THERAPY CONSULTANT (part-time)* Location: Early Childhood
Position: 9.5 months, days/evenings, hours vary Status: Non-Exempt
Open Date: 4/22/2025 Closing Date: 4/30/2025
Starting Pay: $60.00 per hour

Essential Job Functions:
The Physical Therapist will provide screenings and consultation services to children (birth through six years of age) either on a home visit or in a preschool setting. The therapist will provide a written report of observations and recommendations for support in the areas of gross motor, adaptive skills and sensory. Will be responsible for training staff on related topics in the classroom and for those involved in home visiting.

Qualifications Required:
  • Must have a master’s or clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with children from birth to 6 years of age
  • Experience in assessment and strong knowledge of early childhood development required
  • Ability to provide professional development or parent classes to staff and families
  • Flexibility to attend home visits during the day and possibly evenings, as well as observe in classroom settings
  • Transportation available to get to homes and preschool sites
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrates the skills necessary to work with staff members from a variety of programs as well as meet the diverse needs of families

*Position starts with the 2025/2026 school year.
