Empty trash.Clean, mop, scrub, sweep or vacuum floors, stairways, and halls.Cl ean, wash, dust, or polish hardware, brass, furniture, mirrors,bedside l ighting fixtures, vents, radiators, and exteriors of cabinetsand equipme nt.Clean patient rooms and/or offices thoroughly by mopping floors, wash ingfurniture, scrubbing plastic cushions, frames and cleaning and washin gbathroom fixtures and walls.Clean drinking fountains, ice-making machin esand sand urns; cleanblinds with damp cloth or vacuum.Report repairs ne eded to supervisors including broken or cracked windowpanes, leaky fauce ts, toilets, loose tiles, broken blinds and damagedfurniture.Follow all universal precautions, blood borne pathogen procedures anduse personal p rotective equipment as needed while cleaning patient careareas.May dust mop, wax and buff floors and shampoos carpets.May be required to perform'Seven Step' cleaning of all surgical areas,wall cleaning, machine scru bbing of floors (no finish) and related taskswith particular attention t ospecialized needs in the surgical area.Perform related duties as assign ed.
