Board Certified Behavior Analysis

We are seeking Master's level candidates with their Board Certification in Behavior Analysis for this position who have demonstrated experience working with children with autism, ADHD, and other disabilities. Licensure as a special educator is preferred but not mandatory.. Qualified candidates should be able to conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses; providing behavior analytic interpretations of the results. The BCBA will teach others to carry out ethical and effective behavior analytic interventions based on published research and designs and will deliver instruction in behavior analysis. The following outline of the role and responsibilities is intended to provide a broad overview, but is subject to change according to the needs of the school district, as required by the Superintendent of Schools.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop/assist with individual behavior management programs for students ranging in ages from 3-22, in the classroom and or inclusion setting.
  • Direct staff training and development around principles of ABA.
  • Provide program/individual staff consultation on implementation of BIPs. .
  • Provide program/individual staff consultation on development/implementation of Discrete Trials curriculum.
  • Participate in Team consultation meetings with classroom teachers/related service providers/paraprofessional staff.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), ABLLS-R and/or VB-MAPP
  • Modify training materials when needed.
  • Review required BIP and Discrete Trial programs with new employees.
  • Schedule and document personal provision of services to students, as outlined on IEPs
  • Provide guidance for and indirect monitoring of staff entries in daily intervention notes
  • Engage in social-behavioral elements of annual IEP process (attendance at Team mtgs, updating of PLEP B, update of current performance data, development of goals/benchmarks, progress reports, , etc.) as needed.
  • Provide training for regular education and special education teachers and paraprofessionals on the principles of behavior and function based Behavior Intervention Plans.
