Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is seeking a Digital Scanning Technician I to join our team of dedicated professionals in the Digital Scanning Area. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a mission-driven organization that values precision, teamwork, and innovation in patient care.

Role Overview

As a Digital Scanning Technician I, you will support the preparation and quality control of pathology glass slides for digital scanning. Your work helps ensure accurate, high-quality images that are critical to diagnosis and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and log pathology glass slides into the laboratory information system (LIS).
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure slide label accuracy and digital image quality.
  • Identify and document any quality control issues according to departmental procedures.
  • Ensure slides are free of overhanging labels, tape, or mounting medium that may interfere with scanning.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control, documentation, and issue resolution.
  • Support administrative tasks as assigned and during scheduled rotations.
  • Note: This position does not require digital slide-level review.

Key Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior data entry experience is required (laboratory environment preferred).
  • Experience in a Slide Library, Lab Accessioning, Lab Assistant role, or healthcare administrative setting is a plus.

  • Location: 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY
    Schedule: Full-Time | Tuesday–Saturday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Pay Range: $50.11-$80.21
