General Statement of Duties

The IT Application Developer works with an application team and independently as assigned to develop, enhance and modify County-developed systems in web-based, client, window service and web service environments; performs moderately complex design, application and interface development, relational database design and development, object oriented programming, testing, configuration, modification, analysis and maintenance programming work on County-developed applications; performs related work as required.
Essential Duties
Henrico IT department is seeking a talented, qualified individual to join our team as a Systems Integrator. This role will be responsible for integrating/interfacing data from/to different systems to achieve overall business objectives and satisfy data needs of disparate systems. The role will also function as a systems analyst and implementer of various new software systems including Recruiting, Learning and other HR solutions.
The ideal candidate must possess:
- Considerable professional experience in a relevant IT role
- Technical understanding of SQL
- Experience in structured data and data manipulation tools and webservice integration
- Experience in Oracle REST data services integration and administration is a plus
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing systems and infrastructure to determine upgrade needs and integration possibilities
- Analyze new product features, perform gap analysis, and develop implementation plans
- Communicate with users and providers and identify implementation and integration needs
- Analyze interpret and implement new software products. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficient in ORDS, SQL, REST Azure, and other cloud-based web services
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) year degree in relevant IT field of study and two (2) years of relevant experience; Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Additional Information
Expected hiring range for this position is $69,537 - $80,039.
This position may be filled at either the IT Application Developer I or II level based on the years and type of experience of the successful incumbent:
IT Application Developer I: Graduation from high school/GED including completion of some relevant coursework at the high school level or college level and two (2) years of relevant experience. Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. (Grade HP.29 Salary range starting at $ 69,537)
IT Application Developer II: Two-year degree in relevant IT field of study and two (2) years of relevant experience. Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. (Grade HP.30 Salary range starting at $ 72,875)
