A 12 month, 8 hr/day,
Building Maintenance Supervisor
position is available within the District.
The Building Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the proper operation of all District buildings, emergency mechanical systems and vehicles/equipment. He/she will perform maintenance activities to maintain all District property.
Should possess an understanding of building systems which including Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Roofing, Carpentry, and/or Grounds. Responsibilities surrounding building system knowledge could include:
Oversee a crew performing building trades, to ensure the proper operation of District systems.
Operate within District fiscal parameters
Develop maintenance programs to meet District standards
Coordinate work with contractors and ensure quality control standards are met
Attend continuing education to maintain current knowledge of building systems
Requirements:
Applicants must possess a High School diploma.
Vocational training and advanced training per trade is preferred.
Five or more years of practical experience in a specific trade
5 years supervisory experience
Good written, oral, and organizational skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and operating manuals.
The applicant should have corrected hearing or vision within normal ranges.
This position requires standing, crawling, walking, twisting, bending, sitting, pushing, kneeling, stooping, lifting, stretching, and working on a ladder.
The applicant must be capable of operating tools of the trade.
A successful candidate must be available for on-call evening and weekend hours.

Criminal Record Check (less than one year old)
PA Child Abuse History Clearance (less than one year old)
FBI Finger Print Clearance (less than one year old)
TB Test/Mantoux (less than 3 months old)
Physical - if applicable (less than 1 year old)
