License and Certification Qualifications: Current professional HR certification issued by HRCI (PHR or SPHR) or SHRM (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Experience Qualifications: Three years in an office/clerical environment required. Experience in human resources or staffing preferred.
Skills Qualifications: Ability to communicate with others in an effective and tactful manner; ability to exercise independent judgment, troubleshoot, and solve problems; ability to work accurately with employee data; ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively with employees; ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality; strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a high-volume processing environment; ability to work as part of a team; flexibility and adaptability to change; ability to represent Gwinnett County Public Schools in a positive and professional manner; strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office required; and knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred.
Primary Responsibilites: Provide assistance in the organization, coordination, and implementation of all administrative processes within the Office of Leadership Development.
1. Perform department administrative duties.
a. Manage concurrent tasks effectively and ensure that priorities are completed by the deadline.
b. Arrange meeting details, develop minutes, and prepare correspondence in a timely fashion.
c. Monitor materials produced to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and conformity to system standards.
d. Maintain supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipated needed supplies, place orders of supplies, and verify receipts and records for supplies.
2. Assist the Leadership Development Administrators to ensure successful departmental operations.
a. Align administrative priorities with those of supervisor.
b. Maintain an accurate schedule of supervisor’s meetings/appointments and ensure supervisor is informed of upcoming schedule.
c. Assist in the preparation and facilitation of meetings and events.
e. Develop spreadsheets, graphs, charts, and presentation documents and integrate data from multiple source documents.
3. Provide administrative support to the department by identifying, developing, and streamlining areas for process improvement and service delivery.
4. Provide world-class customer service for all performance management related issues.
a. Communicate with all parties in a businesslike, courteous, and efficient manner.
b. Represent the department professionally in all aspects of communication.
c. Help cultivate a responsive and customer-centered climate.
d. Seek ways to be responsive to the needs of staff.
e. Handle internal and external customers graciously and effectively.
f. Route incoming and outgoing correspondence accurately.
5. Assist with new projects as assigned, including research, collaboration, implementation, and evaluation of various assignments.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk.
