Job Summary/Purpose: Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for directing, and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. The Charge Nurse assists the Nurse Manager/Director with unit operations and management duties as assigned.

Minimum Training and Education:High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Valid driver's license with good driving record required at the time of hire and must be maintained. Familiarity with the Charleston area required. Excellent interpersonal skills for communication with hospital personnel. Previous courier or delivery experience is preferred. Requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing as well as demonstrated ability to perform recordkeeping tasks, shipping/receiving, physical inventories and quality control checks. Must be computer literate and have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and E-Mail systems such as Outlook.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Valid driver's license with good driving record required at the time of hire and must be maintained.
