SUMMARY
Coordinates the activities and functions of designated programs and projects for the Culturally Responsive Pedgogy & Instruction Department. Analyzes, evaluates and ensures that the goals and objectives for the program are accomplished according to established priorities, time and funding limitations or other specifications. This includes strategic planning, developing and communicating a long-term department vision. The program coordinator will provide training and support to meet academic goals utilizing SPARKS, and Culturally Responsive Strategies. The program coordinator will provide guidance to district staff as it relates to Culturally Relevant Courses in African American, Native American, and/or Mexican American/Latinx perspectives and culturally responsive practices.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associate’s Degree AND
Four years of experience administering or coordinating programs.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree AND
Two years of experience administering or coordinating programs.
OR
Six years of progressive experience administering or coordinating programs.
One year of supervisory experience.
Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.
Knowledge of federal and state legislative requirements related to specific program.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Some positions within this classification may require some type of certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree.
5 years teaching experience in Culturally Relevant Curriculum content area (Highly Qualified Preferred) ELA or Social Studies Content
3 years of Instructional Coaching Experience
Demonstrated success impacting the student achievement African American and/or Mexican American students at the middle and high school levels
Bilingual-Spanish/English literacy (verbal and written skills in both languages)
Experience in developing curriculum, curriculum implementation, inquiry-based learning and professional development
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Location: SCulturally Responsive Pedagogy Instruction - Broadway & Campbell Area
Classification: Non-Bargaining
FTE : 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.
