Description

This position is full time 1.0 for the 2024-2025 school year and is for ONE YEAR ONLYPosition is on a Teacher's Salary Schedule.

There are currently two openings for this position serving schools in either the North or South sectors of the district; office location TBD.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Masters or Specialist degree (or higher) in psychology 
  • Missouri School Psychologist certification
  • Knowledge of and experience implementing Section 504 and/or IDEA regulations
  • Diagnostic disability evaluation & eligibility training/experience
  • Experience with assessing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns, including functional behavior assessments 
  • Experience with developing behavior intervention plans and other student intervention/support plans   
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with team-based problem-solving (i.e., problem identification, evidence-based intervention selection, progress monitoring)
  • Knowledge of multi-tiered systems of supports
  • Understanding of and sensitivity to the impact of different cultures and backgrounds to ensure students are not misclassified as having a disability 
  • Commitment to honoring diversity, a lens of equity, and inclusion of all children and adults  
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, consultation, collaboration, and leadership skills 
  • Public speaking skills and the ability to lead professional development and train others
  • Knowledge of and compliance with all applicable laws and policies related to confidentiality and student documentation
  • Adherence to the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) Professional Standards of Practice 
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, adapt to changing work priorities and work with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to transport oneself to multiple buildings/schools throughout the district 
  • Adherence to the Parkway School District policies related to employees
