Job Summary/Purpose:

The Department of Physician and Provider Recruitment at MUSC is seeking a Provider Sourcing Strategist to help drive the successful recruitment of quality physicians and advanced practice providers to MUSC. The ideal candidate will have a sourcing, recruitment, human resources, or marketing operations background, and an affinity for streamlining processes to improve results.

This position will work closely with the Recruitment Marketing Strategist, and Provider Recruiters to understand the specific requirements for new searches, and gather the appropriate documentation to get positions approved and posted. They will serve as the first line of communication to candidates, answering initial questions and routing candidates to the appropriate recruiter or internal stakeholder. As the department’s recruitment systems and analytics lead, this person will own our internal applicant tracking tools and processes, and will consistently seek out ways to better track and report on key hiring metrics.

Required Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent post-secondary degree or relevant experience with 2-3 years’ experience in recruitment, human resources, or marketing operations role. Demonstrated experience collaborating cross-functionally, and communicating proactively with system-wide stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. CTS/ATS experience preferred. Experience in healthcare is a plus. Applicants should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as external stakeholders. Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and directives simultaneously while maintaining excellent documentation. Collaborative and can communicate your ideas in a team environment, helping to improve and streamline processes where you see opportunities to do so. An eye for detail, and experience with proofreading content for grammar, spelling and visual/design errors. Care about improving healthcare for patients in South Carolina and beyond, and understand that achieving that goal starts with attracting high-quality physicians and providers to MUSC’s opportunities.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: CTS/ATS experience preferred.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of MUSC’s departments, divisions, regional hospitals and other care facilities to assist with candidate inquiries.
  • Write clear, persuasive job descriptions using information gathered from Provider Recruiters and other key stakeholders for new positions.
  • Work with Provider Recruiters, and the Recruitment Marketing Strategist to prepare and post physician and provider job openings on MUSC’s careers page, as well as other physician recruitment platforms.
  • In collaboration with the Recruitment Marketing Strategist, develop a recruitment plan for each opportunity to include creation of the job description, and placement of job postings and advertisements on various platforms (e.g., social media, professional journals, residency/ fellowship programs, physician job boards and websites).
  • Utilize recruitment resources such as LinkedIn, Doximity, and PracticeLink to deploy strategic messaging to individual providers.
  • Organize candidate application and interest traffic, ensuring CV and application content is shared with the appropriate recruiter, and candidate information is accurately logged in the department’s applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Manage department inbox, routing candidate CVs and application information to the appropriate recruiter, answering candidate inquiries, and addressing vendor communications and invoices.
  • Track advertising expenses for each position, and collaborate with the Provider Recruiting Coordinator to catalog receipts and invoices in a timely manor.
  • Own and optimize applicant tracking system and candidate database, ensuring that all requisition and applicant records are accurate and up-to-date, and available tools are being utilized effectively.
  • Continually develop and improve upon processes, procedures, policies and techniques to recruit physicians and providers.
  • Perform research to identify platforms, processes, tactics and tools to better track and report on the department’s recruiting efforts.
  • Opportunity to collaborate with Provider Recruiters and Marketing Strategist to plan and execute recruitment events and presentations.
  • Opportunity to work with Recruitment Marketing Strategist to develop MUSC’s employer brand, and create content marketing strategies to build candidate interest in specific markets and specialties.

Physical Requirements: Continuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions. Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors. Frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing 20 lbs (+/-) unassisted. Lift from 36” to overhead 15 lbs. Infrequently work in dusty areas and confined/cramped spaces.
