The Division of General Internal Medicine, Section of Palliative Care is seeking outstanding clinician educators for tenure-track appointment at the assistant or associate professor level. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established, thriving palliative care team in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. Ideal candidates will be strong clinicians with an interest in professional development. Candidates must be BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and eligible for medical licensure in South Carolina.

Job Description

MD or MD/PhD board certified (or board eligible) in General Internal Medicine.

This is a clinical, full-time 1.0 FTE faculty position.  Primary responsibilities will include clinical care and teaching on the Adult Palliative Care inpatient consultative service with potential for a hybrid inpatient / outpatient schedule. Education and training of fellows, residents, and medical students is a priority. A commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork and collaboration, high quality palliative care, and outstanding communication skills are essential. Faculty appointment / rank / salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
