Description

The Parkway School District Department of Human Resources is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Principal at Claymont Elementary School for the 2024-2025 school year.
 
Successful candidates must possess strong administrative and instructional leadership skills and a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience, as well as demonstrate excellent skills in written and verbal communications.  The Assistant Principal has major responsibilities in the following areas:
 

  • Supervising classroom instruction, curriculum implementation, and student assessment
  • Analyzing student assessment data and implementing school improvement plans
  • Selecting, developing, and evaluating teachers
  • Creating student-centered school climate
  • Assisting with student discipline and the problem-solving process

 
In addition, the candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with students, staff, and parents.  Specific job responsibilities will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, abilities, and specific school requirements.
 
Minimum Salary:  $86,441
Twelve Month Working Contract

Applicants must possess or be eligible for a Missouri Elementary Principal’s Certificate.   A candidate is considered eligible if they have completed all coursework, passed the appropriate DESE Building-Level Administrator assessment, and have appropriate certification issued by July 1. Successful experience in elementary school administration is desirable.
