Job Description Summary
The Guest Services Representative reports to the Manager of Guest Services. Under general supervision, the Guest Services Representative covers inpatient and outpatient House Concierge units and information services areas. In addition, this role provides a high level of customer services while offering support and quality services to meet the needs of the patients, patient family members, visitors, guest and nursing/clinical team members. In order to achieve optimal satisfaction for all customers, this position ensures patient comfort and facilitates hotel accommodations, access to Chaplin and community social services for patients, family members and visitors. The Guest Services Representative also functions as the liaison between the patients, family members, visitors, guests and the clinical team members within the department.Job Description
Supervises and coordinates the daily operations of the department. Acts as a professional role model to promote and resolve the needs of the patient, family and visitors in a caring, sensitive and responsive environment. Assists with orientation, scheduling training, and daily supervision of the Guest Relations Representative and Specialist staff. Works closely with the management team to develop and implement inter-departmental programs for enhanced customer satisfaction. Assists with the education and implementation of all Joint Commission, DHSR, Health Department, System, Medical Center and departmental standards as they apply to the Guest Relations Program including personnel files, annual in-service education and training, reports and documentation. Assists with surveys, visits and inquiries. Participates as an interdepartmental/intradepartmental liaison, serving on hospital and community committees to promote the satisfaction of the patient, family and visitors and quality assurance. Responsible to promote a safe environment and perform all work related responsibilities in a safe manner.Additional Job Description
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and two years directly related customer service work experience; or an associate’s degree and one year directly related customer service work experience; or A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the related work experience. Computer experience required. This role requires the ability to work weekends and staggered shifts.
