MUSC Health Chester Medical Center is looking for a friendly, well organized, multitasked applicant to help in the switchboard areas as need.

Job Description

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Operating communication systems, such as telephone, switchboard, intercom, two-way radio, or public address
  • Answering incoming calls, greeting callers, providing information, transferring calls and/or taking messages as necessary
  • Updating the company’s internal telephone directory
  •  Keeping a log of emergency calls and handling emergency response.
  • Monitor all alarms.
  • Sort Mail and Deliver Daily
  • Prepare daily On-call Sheet.
  • Prepare courier bag for daily pick-up to MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center.

PRN Status Clause:

This is a PRN as-needed position, you must be available to work at least 1 full shift bi-weekly, as needed according to departmental demands. You may be required to work additional hours if requested by your supervisor to accomplish work objectives. Work hours may vary (increase or decrease) depending on the needs of the unit.

Additional Job Description

Education: High School Degree or GED is required.
