We are excited to be starting Oncology Services through our MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center. We are looking for a detailed, organized, driven, compassionate pharmacist who is ready to be part of our innovative healthcare team.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities for a Pharmacist

  • Deliver expert care and education in oncology pharmacy
     
  • Support clinical services, infusion therapy, and patient counseling
     
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to improve outcomes
     
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards
     
  • Contribute to care coordination, patient access, and quality improvement initiatives
     
  • Use specialized knowledge of anti-cancer therapy, symptom management, and supportive care
     
  • May support other oncology clinical areas across the MUSC Health system as needed

Additional Job Description

Qualifications of a Pharmacist 

  • Education:

    • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's in Pharmacy
    • PGY2 Oncology residency preferred
       
  • Licensure & Certification:

    • Licensed Pharmacist in South Carolina (required)
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA (required before patient contact)
